Manhattan and Jersey City. This is a very unique racing event on one of the most famous water ways in the country. The race course runs in front of where the Twin Towers stood prior to 9/11/2001. The race occurred on the eighth anniversary of the catastrophic attack. While the race team was there, the skies were lit up by the two towering lights on the night of the anniversary.
The Hudson River was closed to most traffic for the race. Large taxi boats continued to operate on the shore line which resulted in many large boat wakes crossing the course. The wakes in combination with the current and waves bouncing off the sea walls made for an ever changing course. Each l
