Wanderscheid Opens Season in Manitoba

AMSOIL oval ice champion PJ Wanderscheid will open up the 2008-2009 season this weekend in Beausejour, Manitoba.

Wanderscheid, who has won three AMSOIL Eagle River World Championship titles, will take part in the Canadian Power Toboggan Championships starting on Saturday.

Racers from all over Canada and the United States will take part in the CPTC season opener to battle for the top spot on the one of the world's fastest tracks. Wanderscheid is excited about the start of the new season.
"Beausejour is great place for us to start the season. We like to get a lot of testing on their track because it is so close to Eagle River. Our main goal each year is to win the AMSOIL World Championship and this weekend will allow us to see where we stack up against the competition."

Racers will hit the track on Friday for practice with racing being held on Saturday and Sunday.
Until then, we'll see you at the races.
