Team AMSOIL late model driver Brady Smith picked up his biggest career win last week at the UMP Summernationals in Farmer City, Illinois.
Following his heat race victory, Smith took the lead on lap 14 of the feature and dominated the remainder of the race to finish ahead of Brian Shirley, Wes Steidinger, Shannon Babb, and Steve Sheppard, Jr. The $10,000 payday was the biggest in Smith's racing career.“Boy, it really feels good to get over the hump and get that first big win,” said Smith. “We have been right there several times, but we finally put an entire night together at Farmer City. This AMSOIL car has been awesome and last week was no exception. The Farmer City Raceway was only one of five tracks that Brady invaded last week. In all, he earned one victory, three Top Five efforts, and four Top Ten performances during his week on the grueling UMP Summernationals circuit.
Smith will enter four World of Outlaws Late Model Series shows from July 25-28 at the following venues:
