Team AMSOIL late model driver Brady Smith closed out an extremely busy June with the Great Northern Tour with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series with five events in the states of New York and Pennsylvania. The five races were held from June 22 through June 27.
Smith was strong throughout the week, as he posted a trio of top five efforts. The Solon Springs, Wis. driver finished 14th at Can-Am (NY) Motorsports Park, third at Canandaigua (NY) Speedway, 13th at Big Diamond (PA) Raceway, and third in the $10,000 to win show at Lernerville (PA) Speedway on Thursday.
In the $30,000 to win 'Firecracker 100' at Lernerville, Smith stormed past six cars from his tenth starting position to earn a solid fourth place performance behind only winner Jimmy Mars, Darrell Lanigan, and Earl Pearson, Jr. The 100-lap 'Firecracker 100' was taped by the cameras of the SPEED Channel for viewing later in the year.
Following the Great Northern Tour, Smith currently finds himself sixth in the latest version of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series point standings.
