Wanderscheid Races in Rock River

PJ Wanderscheid headed south to Iowa for an oval ice race this past weekend. The AMSOIL World Champion put together three strong heats on Saturday in Rock River to advance to the Dash for Cash final. Still using his 440 sled instead of the teams new 600 chassis, Wanderscheid brought home a fifth place finish in the dash.

The racing was delayed on Sunday due to morning fog. After the 1:00 p.m. start, Wanderscheid pushed his AMSOIL/Arctic Cat into a second, third and fourth in his Pro Open heats. In the Pro Open Final he finished sixth and followed that up with a 7th in the Champ 440 final.

The AMSOIL/Wanderscheid oval ice racing team will be back on the track in Ironwood, Mich. after the first of the year. The January 5-6 race will be the first round of the USSA series.

Until then, we'll see you at the races,
