World Series of Off Road RacingRounds 5&6 - Bark River, Mich.
Team AMSOIL drivers Scott Douglas and Mike Oberg pushed their off-road trucks to the limit last weekend in Bark River, Mich. The Super Team members had momentum on their side after a strong showing in Crandon in mid-June.

Oberg, who made the trip to Bark River with a slim, one-point lead in the Pro 2wd class, was looking to increase that lead on the revamped Michigan track. Oberg ran strong all weekend long.

During Saturday's race, the Eagle River, Wis. native pushed the front of the pack and was running in third. Unfortunately, Oberg pushed a little too hard on the gigantic "hill" jump, flying more than 150 feet in the air and landing violently. Oberg was forced to pit and officially recorded a sixth place finish. On Sunday, Oberg got back in the groove and drove his Chevy to a fourth place finish. After six rounds, Oberg is now tied with Scott Taylor for second with 118 points.

In the Pro 4x4 class, Douglas again found his Ford F-150 on the podium. Oberg, who drove for Douglas in the first two rounds, won both events and Douglas posted another win during round three at Crandon. The El Cajon, Calif. resident pushed his AMSOIL/Kumho tires truck towards the front in both races, finishing on the podium in second on Sunday. On Saturday, he banged his way around the track for a sixth. For the season, is fourth overall with 78 points and lest than 25 points from the first place driver.
