Eckstrom, Crapo Advance

Lake Geneva, Wis.

It was a good day of riding for the AMSOIL/Scheuring Speedsports snocross team at the final event of the season in Lake Geneva, Wis. Both DJ Eckstrom and Shaun Crapo were able to advance into Sunday morning's WPSA Pro Stock final.

Eckstrom ran strong in his first two heats. He took a second in the first qualifying run and a third the second time out. The third heat could have proved fatal for his chances of making the final after a bad crash on the first steep downhill of the race. His first two heats were good enough to get him into the final as he qualified for the front row in the tenth starting spot.

Crapo also ran well in his first two heats, finishing fourth in both. A poor third round pushed him into the last chance qualifier. There he showed great speed, moving from fifth into third and into tomorrow's final.

Racing starts at 9:30 with the pro stock final. Pro open qualifying starts shortly after that.

Until then, see you at the races,

Jeremy Meyer
AMSOIL Race Coordinator
