Grant Podiums, Windham Just Misses

Houston, Texas

Josh Grant continued his success on the AMA Supercross series last weekend with a third place finish at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. The AMSOIL sponsored rider finished third in the Lites division, his third straight podium finish. Meanwhile, teammate Jake Wiemer finished sixth in the same race. For the season, Wiemer sits in third overall in the Supercross West Coast Lites division standings, just five points ahead of Grant, who sits in fourth.

In the Supercross class, AMSOIL rider Kevin Windham finished his best race of the season. Windham started strong, grabbing the lead over Tim Ferry on the second lap. KDub would lead about half of the main event before giving way to winner James Stewart and second place finisher Chad Reed. Windham battled Ferry for third, but a bobble by Windham with two laps to go pushed him into fourth. AMSOIL Teammate Travis Preston finished in fifth. For the season, Windham sits fifth overall and Preston is just eight points behind in sixth.

The AMSOIL team will be in San Diego this weekend for round seven.
See you at the races,
